All information about Cyber Monday at Target: best deals, dates, tips on how to save money before and during the sale and what to expect!

About Cyber Monday at Target

Target is the second-largest department store retailer in the United States, second only to Walmart. Headquartered in Minneapolis, this retailer has earned a reputation for clean stores and affordable merchandise, and also has a large online presence.

It’s certain that they will be participating in Cyber Monday this year, as they participated in 2017, and in previous years. Target is known for having great Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, so you can expect big markdowns store-wide.

You can find any number of products for sale on Cyber Monday. Last year, Target had a storewide promotion for 15% off all eligible items, as well as special discounts on video games, electronics, home goods, televisions, and home appliances.

Some deals from last year’s sale included 30% discounts on Samsung UHD televisions, $20-$300 off all VIZIO TVs, a 25% discount on the Playstation 4 VR With Gran Turismo Bundle, and a 25% discount on KitchenAid Stand Mixers, just to name a few.

Cyber Monday promotions were limited to online-only purchases in 2017. We expect this trend will continue, as Target and WalMart, along with other stores, are attempting to compete with, and get a larger share of eCommerce sales.

When is Cyber Monday?

In 2020, Cyber Monday will take place on the 26 November.

Cyber Monday at Target will start on Monday, November 26. This is when you can expect to find the best deals on items on

However, don’t forget about Black Friday. Target runs a variety of both in-store and online promotions for Black Friday, so this is also a great time to get deals on popular merchandise.

In addition, if Target follows the same format as their last Cyber Monday sale, you can expect “Cyber Week” promotions to continue throughout the following Saturday, December 2.

What to expect

What happened last Cyber Monday?

Target announced most of its special Cyber Monday deals with their weekly ad. The most significant announcement was the store-wide 15% discount on most items. Target REDCard members also could get an additional 5% discount with their credit card.

Target also has a dedicated Cyber Monday page, where they uploaded information about all deals. You can find that page here – expect it to be updated with this week’s information a few weeks before Black Friday.

Uniquely, Target ran a “Cyber Week” promotion in 2017, where different deals were offered each day, as follows:

  • Monday, Nov 27 – 15% off sitewide
  • Tuesday, Nov 28 – 40% off bath and bedding
  • Wednesday, Nov 29 – Spend $30, save $10 on beauty and cosmetics
  • Thursday, Nov 30 – 30% off boots and outerwear
  • Friday, Dec 1 – Discounts on electronics
  • Saturday, Dec 2 – 30% of furniture and rugs

The best deals of Cyber Monday’s past?

We can probably expect deals that were quite similar to last year. There will likely be a flat discount applied across the entire website, as well as individual “Daily Deals”, which will be offered at a lower price.

You can expect average discounts ranging from 15-75% off, depending on the desirability of the item, and the product category in which it belongs. Popular electronics like video game consoles, for example, may only have slight discounts, while textiles and clothing could be discounted dramatically.
